I am a multimedia journalist always researching innovative ways to tell a story and reach my audience across various platforms. I recently obtained a Master of Science in multimedia journalism from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va.
I’ve had the opportunity to cover topics such as the General Assembly, a Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House and an emergency hearing on Ebola on Capitol Hill. In addition, I’m a pop culture junkie with a healthy obsession for social media and known as “queen of random facts” by many of my colleagues.
My desire to become a journalist was greatly influenced by my experiences as a resident of New Orleans, La., during Hurricane Katrina.
